SPECIAL NOTE:
If Covid-19 restrictions prevent classes from running in-person at any time, our instructors have extensive experience teaching virtually. Rest assured that all of our classes (whether in-person or on Zoom) promise to be engaging, energetic and fun!
MINI FOOTLIGHTERS
Ages: Pre-K
Spring Registration for this class will open on March 8th (Non-resident opens March 15th)
Intructor: Sarah Tilford
Allow your mini thespian to discover the wonders of performance and play using their body, mind and imagination! This class will bring out the dramatic spirit of any preschooler through games and story theatre. This class will culminate in either a video or live performance for friends and family to enjoy--a perfect fit for your little drama king or queen!

LITTLE FOOTLIGHTERS

Little Footlighters increases creativity and self-confidence both onstage and off! Through theatre games, rehearsal and performance, students develop basic acting skills and rehearsal technique necessary to be successful in performance. Join us this spring as our cast takes to the stage with our original adaptation of RAPUNZEL! This class will culminate in either a video or live performance for friends and family!

This one-hour class welcomes all levels of experience to join in the fun of spontaneous characters, fast paced games, and comedic scenes created on the spot! The final performance for this class may be live or live streamed.

BROADWAY BOUND

Director: Stefanie Guggenheim
In this fabulous performance-based class, young actors will get the opportunity to audition, rehearse, and perform Seussical the Musical Jr (rights pending) under the direction of Stefanie Guggenheim. Since current Covid-19 restrictions prevent us from performing in front of a large live audience, our performance will be recorded and live streamed with families and friends at the end of the winter/spring session. In this hybrid production, the first month of our session will be singing on Zoom; in-person rehearsals will begin in mid-February. With incredible costumes, the use of a green screen and professional video editing, performers will feel like true movie stars! All students are guaranteed a role in the production, but no particular role. Join us for this magical experience that celebrates both the theatre process and product!

DEERFIELD PERFORMERS TROUPE

Dedicated musical theatre students will explore the wonderful world of theatre as they navigate their way through a unique production. This advanced musical theatre class taught by Stefanie Guggenheim, focuses on performance, teamwork, dramaturgy, and the purpose of performing. In this hybrid production, the first month of rehearsal will be singing on Zoom; in-person rehearsals will begin in mid-February. Since current Covid-19 restrictions prevent us from performing in front of a large live audience, our performance of Matilda Jr (rights pending), will be recorded and live streamed with families and friends at the end of the winter/spring session. Acceptance into the troupe is by audition only; all accepted troupe members are guaranteed a role in the production, but no particular role.*
